As always the completely wind-up powered audio point has been a great addition to the standard outdoor signage panels along the route, adding engaging audio interpretation outdoors without the usual power requirements.

Vilafranca del Penedès is a Spanish town located just west of Barcelona, steeped in history and the centre of the local wine industry it’s a popular tourist location. The ‘Wine Walk’ is a 3.5 km trial starting at the tourism office, winding through the town and ending in the countryside which not only provides great views, but educates on the ‘world of vine and wine’ with 8 interpretive ‘stations’ along the way.

Having worked with GeoSilva Projects before in supply of our outdoor wind-up audio point the U-Turn Round, we were contacted again with the same unit in mind for the ‘Winewalk’. The Oversized U-Turn Round audio point is easily installed into a panel thanks to the ‘lip’ design. In this case it was installed within a panel on one of the 8 interpretive stations, allowing visitors access to oral clips and snippets of music related to the local area and wine industry.
