Solar Audio Post – Danderhall Community Hub
They decided to use our Metal Solar Audio Post to do this allowing visitors to simply press one of the two touch-sensitive piezo buttons to trigger easily updatable audio information regarding the area.
Located in Midlothian, the newly opened Danderhall Community Hub is a large school and public facility building. It’s not only a primary school but also contains four swimming pools, a gym, sauna, steam room, spa, library and childcare centre.
With all of these facilities under one very modern roof, Midlothian County Council have gone above and beyond to provide beneficial resources for the school children and parents in the area.
Local company Audio Light Systems were commissioned to provide an audio installation alongside an impressive community sculpture located just outside the hub. They decided to use our Metal Solar Audio Post to do this allowing visitors to simply press one of the two touch-sensitive piezo buttons to trigger easily updatable audio information regarding the area.
The Solar Audio Post is designed to be weather and theft proof, and of course to function without the need for mains power. Thanks to the built in solar panels and powder coated steel body, the post offers audio any time of the year in a rugged and environmentally friendly way.
The modern design and simple function of the Solar Audio Post nicely compliments the impressive Danderhall Community Hub and sculpture.
