Solar Audio Post – Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park
The farm has benefited greatly since Adam Henson was chosen to present Countryfile in 2001 after an extensive presenter search, and has gone from strength to strength becoming a very popular destination for families, with an emphasis on an educational and child friendly experience.

We were contacted by Cotswold Farm in their hunt for outdoor interpretation, they were looking for devices that would allow them to share audio content with visitors as they explored the farm. There were three key requirements;
- Fit aesthetically with the surroundings
- Easily updateable with fresh content
- Be environmentally friendly
The plan was to build upon their connection with Countryfile and regularly change the content to coincide with recent episodes.
Our Oak Solar Audio Posts ticked every box, as you can see from the above images they not only look like they belong on the farm (especially when weathered) but the ease in which they can be updated makes them ideal. Solar power makes them extremely environmentally friendly while the Oak is locally sourced.
The Solar Post is also massively efficient and able to function on even overcast days in Wales! Making it very reliable and ideal for use on the Cotswold Farm. Five Solar posts were installed on the farm at various points, all of which are regularly updated using our universal programmer (note: newer models of our Solar Post use our updated USB-Universal programmer, for even easier updating of content).
