Oversized U-Turn Round – White Cliffs Countryside
Showcasing a selection of historic photos the ‘memory post’ was designed to house the original ground breaking wind-up powered outdoor audio point, the U-Turn Round version 1.0 some 9 years ago.
The White Cliffs Countryside Partnership helps conserve and develop the coast and countryside of Devon and Shepway districts. Famous for their wildlife and history, the world-renowned White Cliffs attract many visitors from around the UK and rest of the world every year. Adding to the various forms of interpretation available here already, a U-Turn Round through panel has been installed.

Providing audio tracks regarding the White Cliffs and other local heritage insight. After many years of service the well used original U-Turn recently required replacing.
The U-Turn has undergone a fair amount of development in the last 10 years – improving performance, functionality and durability. The latest U-Turn version 4.0 therefore has a slightly deeper profile which required the use of an additional mounting plate to increase the posts depth and make it compatible. We’re happy to say the White Cliffs of Dover now once again have a U-Turn ready to inform visitors about this sites remarkable history.
