MKII & Single Cup Headphones – The Red Cross Experience
Both our Single Cup and Double Cup Headphones were utilised for different sections of the experience, one of which highlights some of the organisations volunteers. Simply raising a headphone from it’s hanger triggers the stories to begin.
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is the world’s oldest and most honoured humanitarian organisation with a 150 year history of providing aid across multiple conflicts. They are an impartial, neutral and independent organisation whose exclusively humanitarian mission is to ‘protect the lives and dignity of victims of armed conflict and other situations of violence’.
The ICRC is funded mainly by voluntary donations from governments and National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. One such society is the Danish Red Cross, which exhibition designers Lystek Aps were commissioned to work with on a new Red Cross Experience, an exhibit established in Copenhagen’s Red Cross Volunteer House.
One of the aims of the Volunteer Centre is to share the history, work and “brand” of the Red Cross. It does this by taking visitors through various interactive experiences, each demonstrating the important work the organisation does across multiple themes. These include volunteers, firstaid and warzones.

Each set of headphones are powered by our SoundClip-2 Audio Players. When used alongside our headphones the ‘auto-play’ mode is available. This means that the audio only starts playing when raised from the hangers and turns off when returned.
