Heavy Duty Handset – Kėdainiai City Museum
Established all the way back in 1922, Kėdainiai Regional Museum has endured through changes great and small, from raids by retreating Germans in WW2, to a more recent relocation to a former Carmelite monastery. The first director of the Museum was also its founder, a chairman of Kėdainiai District Board – Vladas Rybelis. Rybelis donated a personal collection of antiquities that totaled almost 1000 exhibits. Post WW2 this has continued to increase, now equaling approximately 5000.
The passing decades as well as mismanagement by previous owners hasn’t been kind to the preservation of many of the original exhibits, with some of the most precious vanishing over time. However, increasingly modern technology and techniques has allowed for greater preservation and the presentation of those that remain. Allowing for interesting and accurate histories to be shared for many more generations.
Touchscreens are used throughout the museum, giving visitors a level of interaction that offers a much more engaging means of learning. Alongside these interactives you’ll find some of our Heavy Duty Handsets. Designed to offer high quality audio in a rugged casing, perfect for a high use environment such as this museum.
In this example of our Heavy Duty Handset you’ll see the custom branding option utilised very nicely with a crest and background texture to match the installation site, allowing it to blend perfectly with the aesthetic of Kėdainiai Regional Museum and offering easy and robust access to audio.
