We’ve been commissioned numerous times over the years by The National Showcaves – becoming their primary AV consultant in the process and supplying various interpretive hardware and software solutions designed to educate and entertain visitors of all ages

The National Showcaves Centre for Wales is an award-winning visitor attraction offering a wide range of things to explore and do. From journeying into the depths of the three showcaves, to the life-size dinosaur trail! Greet shire horses on the farm, pan for gold, visit ancient stone circles and much more! National Showcaves even has a camping site, caravan park and self-catering accommodation so you can truly turn your visit into a holiday for the whole family.

We’ve been commissioned numerous times over the years by The National Showcaves – becoming their primary AV consultant in the process and supplying various interpretive hardware and software solutions designed to educate and entertain visitors of all ages. One example of which you’ll find on a 55″ Outdoor Touchscreen, powered by our BBPC-i7 and running some bespoke software developed in-house. This ‘underwater viewing point’ allows visitors to flick through mock underwater CCTV cameras to view prehistoric creatures big and small. Be careful though, you don’t want to make the Mosasaur angry….

Nearby on the Dinosaur trail is a purpose built shelter with another of our installations, a 49″ Outdoor Video Screen. This plays a video on loop throughout the day about how prehistoric creatures like dinosaurs were fossilised. Visitors are encouraged to learn more in the Fossil House where they can pick up a brush and discover some for themselves!

Widely considered one of the UK’s greatest natural wonders, the Dan Yr Ogof caves stretch 11 miles below ground. While a large majority is a national nature reserve and therefore accessible only to professional cavers, there are 3 sections open for the public to visit. Deep within the first accessible cave you’ll find a 65″ Outdoor Video Screen powered by our VideoClip-HD8. The National Showcaves Centre for Wales is packed full of diverse activities and learning opportunities which – like the best implementations of Interpretive AV Solutions – are both entertaining and educational.
