AudioSign Touch – Ewenny Moors
Located in the Vale of Glamorgan, the Moor is also home to Ewenny Priory, a 12th century monastery that is now a grade 1 listed building and the subject of the audio sign recently installed. Converted into a private house during the 16th century that is still inhabited, the attached church is the only part of the building open to the public.
Audio Sign Touch
We were commissioned to build an AudioSign Touch, as well as the lectern stands for two standard large format signs. Powered by solar electronics the 2 button Audio Sign integrates audio interpretation with standard signage, adding a unique element which always intrigues visitors.
The panels were designed by Jonathan Hurley Design and delve into the history of Ewenny, as well as taking a look at the local wildlife. Each lectern stand is constructed from Recycled Plastic, making them environmentally friendly as well as robust and hard wearing.
The Audio Sign plays 3 messages in Welsh and 3 messages in English, the first message teaches about a Monk’s life at Ewenny, the second about the Moors and surrounding area, with the final message looking into the wildlife you can find along the River Ewenny. A short clip of the first message in Welsh and English can be heard below;
We recorded and edited the audio working from a script provided by the client, we also fixed the audio sign to a railing using a bespokely designed mount. Please contact us for your own Audio Sign Touch or bespoke stand requirements.
