Atmospheric Speakers – Roald Dahl Museum
Visitors are taken on a journey into the Wonderous Woods where four of our Atmospheric Speakers work in sync via a SoundScape unit to create an immersive series of sounds. The soundscape provides a layer of background ambience with various animal noises seemingly at random across each individual speaker.
Located in the town of Great Missenden Roald Dahl’s home for 36 years, the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre is your go-to stop for everything you need to know about this much loved and incredibly famous children’s author.
The museum boasts over 40 hands-on activities for the whole family. Visitors can come face-to-face with Fantastic Mr Fox, Take a peek into Roald’s famous Writing Hut or engage in arts & crafts.
One of the newest exhibits you’ll find at the Roald Dahl Museum is the Wonderous Woods, where words, animals and hidden secrets can be uncovered within the trees. This exhibition recreates the local woods that inspired some of Roald Dahls books, allowing visitors to discover which as they explore the space.

Our audio hardware brings the exhibition to life as just one small ingredient in an impressive cooperative effort that included Lee Simmons, Bright Green UK, Leach, Jakaranda Tree, Unusual Projects, Pamela Glintenkamp and Displayways who combined created this fun new exhibit at the Roald Dahl Museum.
