43″ Freestanding Kiosk – Techniquest
– James Summers, Head of Projects for Techniquest
Techniquest is the largest science discovery centre in Wales, offering an entertaining and educational day out for the whole family with playful exhibits designed to make science fun. Throughout the year they also organise toddler days, live science demonstrations and Planetarium shows. Every activity explores science and technology in the hope of inspiring future generations.
A new addition to Techniquest’s Environment Zone is the SolQuest exhibit. This aims to convey the importance of solar energy in combating climate change and how the company Sonnedix is harnessing it at their Atacama Solar Plant in Chile. This virtual tour allows visitors to explore the entire facility with subtitles provided in multiple languages, with additional signage nearby providing both a description and instructions in English and Welsh.
Sonnedix utilised their own software to present the virtual tour but required a powerful and robust kiosk with which to do so. In this case they utilised our 43″ Freestanding Touchscreen Kiosk. With a powerful i7 CPU, Solid State Drive and rugged toughened glass touchscreen our range of kiosks are ideal for displaying almost any public facing software. James Summers, Head of Projects for Techniquest had the following to say;
“We always welcome the chance to team up with companies like Sonnedix to enhance our new Science Capital space with innovative exhibits. Anything that we can do like this, to help encourage learning about science and the environment in a fun and interactive way, is going to be of great benefit to both schools and public visitors of all ages.”
