32″ Touchscreen with Lightbox 3 – Wordsworth House
I’m really pleased with our touchscreen unit from Blackbox AV. The team were friendly, helpful and a pleasure to deal with. This has been an excellent addition to visitor experience and helped us showcase our collections and oral history films to great effect.
– Zoe Gilbert, Visitor Experience and Operations Manager at Wordsworth House and Garden
Wordsworth House and Garden is the birthplace and childhood home of beloved poet William Wordsworth. This beautifully preserved Georgian townhouse is a Grade 1 listed building that offers visitors the chance to experience life in the 1770s. The building is steeped in history and for a new project in collaboration with website ‘Findmypast’ the National Trust wanted to give visitors an insight into life at Wordsworth House during 1921 specifically.
A range of oral history films and archival collections were assembled as part of the project while our 32″ All-in-one touchscreen unit was utilised to present these to visitors. Running our very flexible off-the-shelf museum software ‘Lightbox 3 – Collections’ visitors are able to easily browse the archive and access the media at their leisure. Zoe Gilbert, the Visitor Experience and Operations Manager for Wordsworth House had this to say about the end result;
