Multi Touch Kiosk – Cyfarthfa Castle
“The Multi Touch Kiosk with Lightbox 3 has been a great new asset for the collection at Cyfarthfa Castle, allowing hi-resolution images of photographs and works of art to be seen, rather than being hidden away in storage due to lack of space.”

Cyfarthfa Castle is situated in 160 acres of parkland with formal gardens, a lake, children’s play area and a mini railway ride. The castle was built in 1825 during the industrial revolution as a home for William Crawshay II and his family. In 1910 it opened its doors to the public, hosting a spectacular museum and art gallery. Visitors can see a range of art displays and eclectic collections from the ancient world, including Egyptian grave goods, Greek and Roman artefacts and Far Eastern decorative arts.
“The Multi Touch Kiosk with Lightbox 3 has been a great new asset for the collection at Cyfarthfa Castle, allowing hi-resolution images of photographs and works of art to be seen, rather than being hidden away in storage due to lack of space. Not only does the Kiosk provide an opportunity to see items in storage, it also offers the ability to zoom in on quite small detail, so that aspects of an image barely noticeable with the naked eye can now be seen clearly and easily. It allows the collection to be seen in a whole new and enlightening way, revealing aspects previously almost impossible to see.”
