UTR Oversized Through Panel – Zoo Schwerin
Designers Kon-Tiki were tasked with bringing outdoor audio interpretation to an observation point in the Zoo, allowing visitors to listen to 8 different species of bird. This was made possible thanks to the Oversized U-Turn Round.
Opened in 1956, The Schwerin Zoological Garden has continued to grow over the years and is now home to over 1,600 animals across 143 different species. Families are able to visit all year round for feedings, guided tours (also at night) and exclusive personal animal encounters. Up to 6 people can even stay on site in a treehouse overnight!
Designers Kon-Tiki were tasked with bringing outdoor audio interpretation to an observation point in the Zoo, allowing visitors to listen to 8 different species of bird. This was made possible thanks to the Oversized U-Turn Round which with its enlarged ‘lip’ design was easily installed through a post mounted graphics panel.
Users simply choose a bird they wish to hear via the dial, then wind the handle to power the audio playback. It’s that simple!
