Video and Headphone Unit – Fishbourne Roman Palace

{

We were commissioned to supply a free standing unit capable of feeding button activated video content to a projector system, whilst allowing up to 8 people to listen simultaneously via headphones.

The Fishbourne Roman Palace is the largest Roman home in the UK boasting a huge collection of mosaics for viewing. Now under administration by Sussex Past, the grounds are preserved as a museum.

As part of a refurbishment and series of interpretive updates we were commissioned to supply a free standing unit capable of feeding button activated video content to a projector system, whilst allowing up to 8 people to listen simultaneously via headphones.

Utilising our VideoClipHD-6 with audio split via 2 Headphone Amplifiers, we were able to feed 8 SingleCup headphones. Built into a custom freestanding unit with a colour graphic face plate and 3 buttons for content activation, the unit was installed securely into the floor and a HDMI cable run to the overhead projector.

The result as you can see was very effective, allowing a large amount of people to enjoy the available video content whilst minimising audio bleed.
